Safeguarding and Welfare

SAFEGUARDING IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY

Everyone in football has a responsibility to make our game safe and enjoyable.

This is particularly true for coaches. A coach is in a privileged position. The nature of the role means he/she can have significant influence over children and young people and develop relationships of trust with children and their parents/carers. It’s therefore important that coaches understand their safeguarding responsibilities.

FAQs

There are two ways to book an FA Level 2 in Coaching Football course.

An applicant can book a full FA Level 2 course with all three blocks included.

This costs £300, which includes a £100 discount through the FA Coaching Bursary.

If the applicant is with a Charter Standard Club with a main affiliation to Lancashire FA, it will cost £280.

Anybody applying for the full FA Level 2 course must commit to all dates on all blocks. Should the applicant want to change dates, they will be subject to transfer and cancellation policies.

There is also the option to book the FA Level 2 course blocks separately, meaning the applicant commits to just one block at a time, rather than all three.

This option is more flexible, but is also more expensive.

Booking each block separately would cost £445 in total - £160 per Block 1, £160 per Block 2 and £225 per Block 3, minus the £100 bursary towards ONE block of the applicant's choice.

The applicant can also obtain a Charter Standard discount per each Block – £10 for Block 1, £10 for Block 2 and £25 per Block three – which brings the cost down to £400 for all three Blocks.

Please note: when booking courses online, the FA Coaching Bursary is already included within the price. However, to obtain the Charter Standard discount, the applicant will need to email their club secretary for a promotional code, which is then redeemed when paying.
