Pitch Power Testing and Pitch Improvement Funding
The Pitch Improvement funding will deliver developments to thousands of grass pitches across the UK.
The Lancashire FA facilities & investment team works in partnership with the Grounds Management Association (GMA) North West Regional Pitch Advisor and Football Foundation colleagues to develop a grass pitch maintenance service which can be utilised by grassroots clubs, with the simple aim of improving the quality of grass pitches.
Clubs should as the absolute first port of call, sign up to the PitchPower App which is an online tool allowing clubs to complete their own pitch inspections directly from your mobile, on site live in the moment, saving club funds and reducing time waiting for inspections and visits. (although if this further required we can support here)
PitchPower, created by the Football Foundation will provide a range of support services to clubs, volunteers and grounds people including evaluations with practical advice and recommendations to improve the quality of pitches. It will also signpost you to measures to help develop the skills and knowledge of the volunteers and grounds people including seminars and workshops.
Please see link below for a step by step guide to sign up for PitchPower and learn more about starting the funding process.
Also take a look at our education tiles on the main landing Facilities and Investment Tab, where you can find out about GMA memberships, the Football Foundation / FA Groundskeeping hive learning community and other workshops and events from the Lancashire FA and partners.
