Hindsford Juniors 1-0 Bamber Bridge United
Hindsford Juniors edged past a resilient Bamber Bridge side to win the U16 County Youth Cup Final
Bamber Bridge had the first chance of the game as Jameson Goloba had his effort inside the box denied by a late ditch tackle from Ben Toone, after a great cross by Stephen Harrison.
Abdul Hussain had Hindsford first attack with a speculative 24 yard volley which flew over the bar.
Just before the half hour mark, Matthew Baird gave Hindsford the lead with a powerful header looping over Dan Cox from an outswinging corner.
Moments later it could have been a second as Hussain met a deep cross, only for his header across goal to be well saved.
Brig started the brighter in the second half as Kian Clarkson worked himself into some good space before firing over from 25 yards.
The best two chances of the second half both fell to Stephen Harrison for Bridge.
His first was a golden opportunity as he was put through on goal only for Hindsford Keeper Devon Patel to come out on top in the 1 v 1.
In the closing stage, Harrison was so close to expertly getting a equaliser as he rose highest from a deep free kick only for his flicked header to be well caught by Patel.
