Online Referee Platform Now Available
Lancashire FA Referee’s Department is delighted to announce the release of a brand new online learning portal for all of our registered referees, observers, mentors and coaches.
The online platform, designed in partnership with HIVE Learning, will shortly also be made available for all of our local Referee Associations and affiliated leagues.
If you've been keeping an eye on our social media channels recently you may have seen that we've been working behind the scenes to build your very own Lancashire FA referee learning platform. We’re delighted to announce that this platform is now officially live and ready to be used!
All registered referees will have received an email earlier regarding the release of the online platform and invitations to sign up will follow week commencing 2nd March 2020.
The online learning portal is not only the place to find all things refereeing in Lancashire, but is also a valuable tool in your development as a member of our referee workforce. The platform is full of resources you may need, including important information relating to the Laws of the Game and Temporary Dismissals (Sin Bins), but also additional guidance and development content that will aid you in your refereeing.
From month to month we'll be adding mini Laws of the Game quizzes to keep you on your toes – and you may even win a spot prize! The first quiz will go live in March where every referee that takes part in the quiz will be entered into a prize draw to win a brand new Nike Referee Kit.
In order to access the platform you will need to log into HIVE Learning website, listed below. There you will accept the invitation to join the ‘Lancashire FA Referees’ group. Please note that you will only be able to join the group when you receive the initial invitation email which will follow next week.
You can also download the HIVE Learning app directly to your smartphone on iOS or Android so that you can keep up to date with all of the latest news and content whilst on the go.
Going forward you'll also start to receive emails from the platform, keeping you up to date with all things refereeing as and when we add content. Remember to check out the discussion clips and to get you started we have 10 clips available for discussion and we’ll keep adding more.
Ahead of the release of the learning platform, Referee Development Officer Lewis Smith said: We’re delighted to be able to announce the release of this brand new referee development toolkit which has been in the pipeline for some time behind the scenes.
“The learning platform will allow us to constantly communicate with the entirety of our refereeing workforce and it will become a central hub where we can provide up-to-date development content to continually improve the already high standards of referee that we have throughout the county.
Referees will be able to use the platform to receive the latest news of all things refereeing within Lancashire as well as participating in monthly Laws of the Game quizzes, video clip discussions and other means of referee development material. This is a great way for our referees to maximise their potential and the online platform is another method which allows the county FA refereeing department to provide an excellent level of support and guidance to all of our match officials.”
We hope you enjoy using our new Referee Learning Platform and if you have any questions, please get in touch via referees@lancashirefa.com
